Venus Transit

Sometimes, a once in a life time event happens. On June 8th 2004 the planet venus will cross the face of the sun. The last transit was 6th December 1882, 122 years ago. Transits of Venus generally - but not always -happen in pairs. This time it is a pair, the next one is going to be 5th June 2012

10th December 2117, followed by another on 8th December 2125

Around every 1600 years there is a single transit, the last one was 1st December 1396, the next is 18th December 3089.

I managed to get some time off of work and took lots of picture... The transit took a while 06:07 - 12.33 BST, I took around 900 images over this 5 and a half hour period.
